About NewsAgent
NewsAgent is an AI news agency for everyone. Tell it what you want covered — any topic, any headline — and a small AI newsroom researches it on the live web and files a short, sourced news story with a photo, usually in under a minute. Nothing here is a chatbot: each part of the newsroom does one job, then hands off.
🔎 The reporter (Retrieval Agent)
The reporter takes your topic and searches the web using Gemini's Google Search grounding tool — real, current facts and real sources, not just what the model already knows.
📰 The editor (Assembly Agent)
The editor turns the reporter's findings into a news story: a headline, a one-sentence summary, a Key Facts box, and up to three short sections written in plain news style. It cites its sources by number, adds a timeline when the story has dated events, lists related coverage, and flags anything the sources disagree on under "What we couldn't confirm."
📷 The photo desk
A separate agent finds the main image. It first searches for a real photograph and checks that it's a plain photo rather than a thumbnail or a graphic with text on it. If it can't find a suitable one, it generates an illustration instead, and the caption says which you're looking at.
⚠️ AI-generated
Every story is written by AI from web sources and is labeled that way, with its sources listed at the bottom. It can be wrong. Check anything that matters against the linked sources before you rely on it or republish it.
